- December 03, 2012 Strength and Solidarity Become the Focus of Local 1441/1441-01 WOS On November 15, members of Women of Steel (WOS) from United Steelworkers (USW) Locals 1441/1441-01 in Selma, AL, gathered to discuss plans future events. One of their initial events scheduled for December 4 is a goodwill project visiting a local nursing home to deliver gifts to the residents. The 70 member group hopes to expand this project next year to other nursing homes in Selma.

The billboards, which warned of prison terms and fines for anyone engaged in voter fraud, began to appear in early October.
