A USW member is recovering from severe burns he suffered while working near a washer inspection door at New Page Corp. in Wisconsin.
Brother Kurt Resheske, 33, a member of USW Local 294 in Rapids, Wis., sustained second- and third-degress burns over 60 percent of his body. He was transported to Madison Burn unit at the University of Wisconsin Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.
The USW's Emergency Response Team's Duronda Pope is assisting the family. Health, Safety and the Environment's Steve Sallman is investigating the accident.
