United Steelworkers (USW) Local 9426, representing Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) bus drivers, bus monitors and mechanics, today sent a two-page letter to Metro Council and MNPS Board members describing the hardships facing its members if proposed cuts to their income are carried out.  In addition, the letter is critical of how Mayor Dean is distancing himself from his constituents by failing to meet with representatives of Local 9426, according to Mary Eady, president of the local.
