Last night, United Steelworker President Leo W. Gerard appeared on MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” to talk about the Chamber of Commerce funneling funds for attack ads against Democrat candidates.

Gerard supported statements from President Obama and Senator Al Franken (D-MN) that what the Chamber is doing is a direct threat to our democracy.

He went on to say, “The Chamber is not speaking for America … they campaigned against a bill that would have brought jobs home.”

The Chamber has sponsored 8,000 attack ads against Democrats since of September 15.

“America is being put up for sale by the Chamber of Commerce,” said Gerard.
