Elizabeth Edwards passing saddened those sisters and brothers who knew her as an honorary Woman of Steel, a strong advocate for women and a woman who faced a number of daunting difficulties in her life with grace, determination and courage.  She was a woman who lost a son, faced personal challenges, made a political impact and finally fought valiantly to survive breast cancer.   Elizabeth Edwards chose to put her achievements and frailties out in the realm of public judgment and hoped that others would learn and benefit from her life.  Sister Edwards had an impact on the USW Women of Steel and we share her family’s loss and extend our deepest condolences.
