U.S. Rep. Jan Shakowsky has heard the call of workers in protests nationwide that in order to really fix government deficits, the rich have to pay their fair share.
Schakowsky has introduced the Fairness In Taxation Act in Congress. It seeks to ensure than millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share.
The bill creates a new tax bracket for incomes of $1 million a year and above and would also tax capital gains and dividends as ordinary income for those making a million a year or more.
