Last night, MSNBC's Ed Shultz interviewed Ohio firefighter Wes Spradlin and United Steelworker President Leo W. Gerard to get their reaction to the new Ohio Law, which strips collective bargaining rights and hurts working families in the state.
“My father worked to be better than his father and I worked to be better than my father to give my children more than I have,” said Spradlin, “this puts me back more than 20 years.”
Gerard said, “This law is punishing the victims of the economic collapse and we’re running a Ponzi scheme on them as well.”
In 2010, corporate profits were up 37% and taxes to companies were at the lowest level since the 1950’s.
"We do not have a spending problem," said Gerard, "we have revenue problem."
