The 4th of July is traditionally known for picnics, fireworks and beaches. In Pittsburgh, the scene was no different except for the beach which turned out to be a 15 foot sand sculpture. A team of Florida-based artists, Sandsational Sand Sculpting, added a bit of union history to this year’s sculpture – Rosie the Riveter.
District 12 Director Bob LaVenture brought this story to our attention with the picture.
