Leslie Marshall talks with David Foster, Executive Director for the Blue/Green Alliance, about the grassroots campaign called Jobs 21. What it is and what will it do?
In this episode, Foster talks about how this grassroots program is driven by environmental investments which will create jobs in renewable energy, energy efficiency, transportation, broadband, a smart electrical grid, broadband Internet, recycling and green chemistry — jobs in sectors like manufacturing, construction and education.
The program bridges the gap between workers and environmentalists. It’s a national partnership uniting 10 major U.S. labor unions and four of America's most influential environmental organizations.
