- April 03, 2013 Announcing the 2013 USPA Awards Contest The United Steelworkers and the United Steelworkers Press Association are pleased to announce the 2013 USPA Awards Contest. We encourage all USPA locals to review their communications material and consider submitting an entry. Please read all the rules prior to submitting material.
- August 11, 2009 The Howard J. McCartney Award The son of a Steelworker, Howard J. McCartney played a key role in the advancement of labor journalism and in helping develop local union publications. Those who knew him said he was gentle and humorous, patient to a fault, candid, but always scrupulously fair.
- August 11, 2009 The Raymond W. Pasnick Award The Raymond W. Pasnick Award was first awarded by the United Steelworkers Press Association at its biennial conference in 2000 in Las Vegas. It is named after the late Ray Pasnick.
- August 11, 2009 The Michael R. Enos Award Michael Enos grew up in Wilmington, DE and graduated from the Tatnall School in 1970. A national merit finalist, he went on to graduate from Stanford University in 1973. He worked for Lenape Forge for 24 years as a machinist. He was also a longtime member of USWA Local #7207, serving as its President for five terms.
- August 20, 2009 United Steelworker Departmental Awards The following United Steelworkers (USW) Departmental Awards are presented to local unions by the so named department. These awards are for the best named story or article for that category. Judges from the departments pick the award winners.
- August 20, 2009 Press Association Awards Every two years at the USPA Biennial Conference, member locals are acknowledged for writing, editing and web site skills through our awards program. Prior to the conference, members submit their newsletters, articles and web site addresses to be judged for this competition.
