USW Cares: Local 12L Women of Steel Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

never-surrenderLast October, United Steelworkers Local 12L Women of Steel raised and donated $1,543.55 to Never Surrender: A Breast Cancer Support Organization founded by Mary Hagar and Tara Fulford and partnered with Etowah County United Way’s 211 First Call for Help Program.

Never Surrender: A Breast Cancer Support Organization helps to screen patients, educate women on breast self-exams and mammograms, along with assisting financially with co-payments, bills, and expenses related to travel for treatment and other breast cancer related costs.
