Daughters of two USW members receive Scholarships at the Louisiana AFL-CIO conference

The Louisiana AFL-CIO annual conference held February 24-25 in Baton Rouge was attended by several USW members. During the conference four children of union members were awarded scholarships, including two from USW families. They were:

• Brenna Gonzales, daughter of Local 13-00012 member Irene Gonzales, won the E.J. Bourg Scholarship Award
• Brenda Mahaffey, daughter of Local 13-725 member Roger Mahaffey, won the Victor Bussie Scholarship Award
