The USW pounds the pavement for the community

The United Steelworkers Local 221 are striking at Elmer’s County Market, but they are not doing it for themselves.  They are pounding the pavement for the local community.

The USW are holding a “Strike for Hunger” this weekend at Elmer’s in Escanaba.  This is their first annual food drive for the community.  They will be “striking” for 48 hours straight in hopes of collecting nonperishable food, money and hygiene products for the local St. Vincent de Paul and Salvation Army.
