Where do you work and what do you do?

I work as a utility operator at Continuous Colour Coat. The company is based in Canada, but it’s part of Material Sciences Corporation, which is based in the United States.

Do you serve in any roles in your local?

Yes, I serve as the Recording Secretary, ERT Coordinator, and the NextGen Coordinator for District 6.

You are part of the NextGen committee at District 6.  Why is important for young people to get involved in the union?

Too many young people are left behind. It’s crucial to create a welcoming space where they can learn, grow and receive mentorship. Providing that support helps build a stronger future for everyone.

What does the theme “All in” mean to you?

It means we’re committing to moving forward, despite the tension between countries. We need to come together in solidarity and support one another.

What makes you proud to be in the union?

I wouldn’t be where I am without the union. It has provided me with job security and inspired me to give back to my community and help others in need.

Why are unions important?

Unions are essential not just for supporting members but for uplifting communities. When we help one union member get the support they need, it empowers us to help others as well.
