Where do you work and what do you do?

I work in operations at TPC group, a chemical plant in Port Neches, Texas.

Do you serve any roles in your union?

I serve on the e-board as vice president and I’m group chairman of the safety committee.

What are you looking forward to this week?

The new education, meeting new people. I get a lot from meeting people from different places and hearing about the situations they are going through. There’s a lot of power between all the people who are in the same boat around the country.

What does being “All In” mean to you?

Being there for each and and being on the same page knowing we’re in the same fight

What makes you proud to be a Steelworker?

I’ve been a Steelworker for almost 20 years and I’ve seen a lot of folks almost get fired for things they didn’t do, and we’ve been able to protect them. That backing is important.

Why are unions so important?

Without unions, we have no control or say in anything in the workplace. Bosses would be able to do whatever they want.
