Trade Watch

The United Steelworkers (USW) leads the fight for fair trade policies that protect workers in our global economy. When workers stand in solidarity across borders and exercise our right to collectively bargain, we can reverse the race to the bottom that billionaire CEOs created to line their pockets.

    Steel

China and other countries have been flooding the global market with its excess steel for decades, undermining U.S. industries. Our union has been fighting back on several fronts. This includes filing petitions to clamp back on dumping and illegal subsidies, as well as working to maintain Section 232 trade remedies that help protect our national security.
