Action Network: Email for U.S. Locals

Through Action Network, local union communicators can efficiently build and distribute emails, including monthly newsletters and other updates.

How It Works

  • Each local will be able to request only one (1) account.
  • They must have two (2) members trained to manage their account.
  • The members managing the account must complete basic training.
  • Local union communicators are responsible for maintaining their own lists and ensuring the content they distribute conforms to all USW policies on using digital tools.
  • The USW’s Communications department will support setting up these accounts and provide basic troubleshooting.
  • The members managing the account are subscribed to an email list of system updates, training opportunities, content ideas and more.

To get started, please first verify that your local is registered on Steelweb, the database hosted by the International that allows local unions to manage its member’s information.
