Teaching Tuesdays
The USW's Education Department is hosting a series of education events that we are calling “Teaching Tuesday’s.” These events will happen on the first, second, and third Tuesday and each week.
The Education and Membership Development Department provides educational programming for all levels of the union - leadership, staff, local union leaders and members. We serve essentially four educational functions.

Courses available at this time: Union Stewards Basics Course, Local Union Officers Training, How to Write Grievances, Intro to Interpreting and Drafting Contract Language
The Leadership Scholarship Program is coordinated by the staff of the Department of Education and Membership Development, and works with other USW departments, staff representatives, and rank and file activists.
The Education and Membership Development department works with districts and locals to create and administer training programs for our staff representatives and local union leaders.
Education and Membership Development have created a wide range of programs that may be requested from the department. Below is a partial list of the training that is continuing to grow.
