Know Your Rights!

It is important that your rights are not being violated during our fight for a first contract. Unfortunately, management has failed to respect you and your coworkers.

Unfair Labor Practices (ULPs)

We believe that Merit has committed illegal acts! The Union has filed a number of unfair labor practice charges against Merit, including:

• that they refused to pay the annual summer hazard pay, and unfairly blamed it on the union, and
• changed the employee health insurance in mid-August without notifying or bargaining with the union.

They have committed these and other illegal acts in an attempt to intimidate us, but we are strong, and we will not stop until we get the fair contract that we deserve! Continue to support your bargaining committee and your union!
