Valero Drivers Ratify a Three-Year Collective Agreement.

no45United Steelworkers Local Union 1961, working for Valero Marketing and Supply Division in Aruba, have ratified a three-year collective agreement. Local Union President, Johannes “Boy” Anthony said the agreement is the best on the Island after the devastation of the refinery closing.  The refinery has been converted to a terminal that has had a huge economic impact on the entire country.

Our members were faced with significant changes in their benefits and the negotiation team worked very hard to maintain all their existing benefits.  Minor improvements were made to dental, vision, RX plans and minor increases in shift differential. The local membership also achieved good wage improvements, increases in funeral expenses and sick leave.
