We will hold our Eleventh District 12 Conference at The Westin Seattle, November 11-15, 2024. Registration will begin on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and continue on Monday morning, November 11, 2024 from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. The conference will convene, Monday November 11, 2024 at 9:00 am and will adjourn by 1:00 pm Friday November 15, 2024.
The Conference Call and Credentials for the number of delegates to which your local is entitled, based on your dues-paying membership, are enclosed. An original of the Credential must be returned to the District Office on or before Friday, September 27, 2024. Also enclosed is a self-addressed envelope for this purpose. The second copy of the Credential should be presented by the delegate at registration. If your local union is an amalgamated unit, I would encourage you to send someone from the units, if finances permit. Lost time and expenses shall be borne by the local union.
Educational classes are again a part of the District 12 Conference. Included will be, local union officer roles, labor law, duty of fair representation, grievance handling, labor history, organizing, and safety and health.
This year we are asking you to register for the conference through our online link HERE, which will allow us to collect necessary information on each attendee and provide you with a confirmation of the total due.
There will be a registration fee of $300.00 per delegate and guest. This will include the $75.00 banquet ticket. If additional banquet tickets are required for family or friends, they will be available for purchase prior to the event.
Checks from your local union to pay the delegates’ registration fees SHOULD BE SENT WITH YOUR ORIGINAL CREDENTIAL TO THE DISTRICT 12 OFFICE. PLEASE SUBMIT ALL REGISTRATION FEES PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AT THE CONFERENCE. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO THE USW DISTRICT 12 CONFERENCE FUND.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. The room rate for single/double is $209.00, plus occupancy tax.) Hotel’s room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 15.7% & 2.3% per room, per night Tourism Assessment fee) in effect at the time of check-out.
For those flying, SEATAC (SEA) is the airport of choice for flying into Seattle. There is a light rail system (Link system) that runs every 10 minutes from SEATAC to Westlake Station in downtown Seattle, from Westlake Station it is an approximate 5-minute walk (0.1 miles) to the Westin Seattle. The hours of Link operation are 5 am to 1 am and 6 am to midnight on Sundays and holidays. Cost is currently $3.00.
Parking at the Westin is $60.00 for self park. There may be lower cost alternatives within the proximity of the Westin for those who are adventurous.
