À propos du SOAR

Fondée en 1985, la SOAR renforce notre syndicat en faisant participer les retraités des Métallos en tant que militants, défenseurs et bénévoles. L’adhésion est ouverte aux membres retraités du Syndicat des Métallos, aux conjoints, aux conjoints survivants et aux personnes âgées de 45 ans ou plus partageant les mêmes idées.

Reconnue comme affiliée au Syndicat des Métallos, la SOAR se concentre sur les questions touchant les retraités, les conjoints et les familles du Syndicat des Métallos. Nos efforts comprennent :

  • Participer à l’intervention rapide du Syndicat des Métallos, faire progresser les objectifs législatifs de notre syndicat grâce à l’activisme de base.
  • Partenariat avec le département des droits civils et humains du Syndicat des Métallos pour protéger le droit de vote des personnes âgées, des minorités, des personnes handicapées, etc.
  • Soutenir les efforts de notre syndicat pour obtenir des conventions collectives fructueuses dans divers secteurs.
  • Faire pression sur les gouvernements locaux et fédéraux sur des questions telles que la sécurité sociale, l’assurance-maladie, la politique manufacturière et tenir les pays étrangers responsables du commerce déloyal.
  • Défendre la santé et la sécurité au travail et à l’extérieur.
