Every year, the Linn Benton Lincoln CLC sponsors a turkey run and this year on November 21, United Steelworker members and their families, in Albany OR., participated in this year’s event.
Members from USW Locals 1189, 1199, 7150, Women of Steel and SOAR all helped to collect turkeys, hams, potatoes and canned foods and then deliver them to Saint Mary’s Church to feed hundreds of hungry people.
Participating with the Steelworkers were members from Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA), International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and members of the Saint Mary’s Church.
This project is just one of so many USW’s amazing members do every day to give back to our communities. If you or your local are doing good things in your community, we want to hear about them.
