USW Activists Get Moving for Collective Liberation in Detroit
Our Civil and Human Rights Department provides a wide range of resources to support local committees and individual members. These include technical expertise for addressing discrimination, seminars on civil and human rights, printed materials, and regular updates for district and local union representatives.
Our union draws strength from its rich diversity. Since our foundation, we’ve understood that our true power comes not from eliminating our differences but from the basic principle that everyone has a place in our union. That’s why we’re working to advance equity and civil rights across the United States and Canada—and worldwide.
