Union Voter Outreach

Our most important work as a union—bargaining strong contracts, safeguarding workers’ health and safety, protecting retirement security, and more—is all too often tied to local, state and federal laws and the people making them. That’s why we do everything we can to elect lawmakers who will support workers, regardless of their party affiliation.

USW members and retirees are the best messengers to share how candidates match up to our core values. At election time, we work to have conversations – both in our worksites and in our communities – to share this information. Through these efforts we build power for working people to secure better laws and ultimately, stronger contracts.
