I have been the International Secretary for the Industrial and Metal Workers Union (IF Metall) since August 2020.

Before joining the team at the union HQ, I have worked with union issues for a long time. Starting as a shop steward at the machine shop at Scania in Södertälje in 1996.

Since then, I have been working with organizing, union education, leadership development, negotiations etc.

I was the chairperson for the blue-collar and group union at Scania between 2008 – 2018.

I have served as a union representative in the board of directors of Scania for 12 years and at VW group in Germany for 5.

Between 2018 and 2020 I held the position as General Secretary for Volkswagen´s European and world workers councils.

Privately I have been married to my wife Malin for 25 years and have a daughter at 24.
