Stacey started with the Australian Workers’ Union 20 years ago as an Industrial Advocate in the Queensland Branch. In 2020, Stacey was promoted to the position of Southern District Secretary (Queensland’s largest District) and in 2022, she assumed the role of Queensland Branch Secretary – the first woman to serve as Branch Secretary in the history of the union. Stacey simultaneously is the Secretary of the Australian Workers’ Union of Employees, Queensland (our State registered union).

Stacey holds several board positions on behalf of the AWU, including: Chifley Services, SaCSA, WorkCover Queensland, Manufacturing Skills Queensland and she is a former director of Stadiums Queensland. Stacey also represents the Union on the ACTU National Executive, ALP National Executive and Queensland Labor Administrative Committee.
