Where do you work and what do you do? 

I’ve been an equipment operator at Arconic in Iowa for 21 years. 

Why is it important to be unionized? 

It’s important for us to have solidarity and come together as one.  

Is this your first convention? 

This is my first convention, and I’m excited to meet people and to feel the unity. 

What does “All In” mean to you? 

To me it means solidarity. It’s about the heart and soul. You give your whole self. 

Are there any issues that are top of mind for you heading into your next contract negotiations? 

People really are concerned about layoffs because there are a lot of layoffs happening in our area like at Whirlpool and John Deere. 

What makes you proud to be a Steelworker? 

What makes me proud is, again, the solidarity and being able to help people. I love what I do.
