Flickr is a photo sharing website that allows members to upload their own photos into customizable albums that can then be labeled, organized, tagged and publicly or privately posted.

Create an account:

  1. Go to www.flickr.com.
  2. If you already have an email account through Yahoo or Google, or a Facebook account, click “Sign Up,” select which account you would like to log-in with and use that accounts username and password.
  3. If you do not have any of the above, click “Create New Account.”
  4. Enter your first name and last name; enter your gender, birthday, country, language and postal code; select an email address and password; set your security options; and type the code shown in the designated box.
  5. Click “Create My Account.”
  6. Click “Continue.”
  7. Choose a Flickr screen name.
  8. Click “Create My Account.”
  9. Search for United Steelworkers to view the official USW Flickr photstream.

Uploading a Photo

  1. After you sign into Flickr, click on “Upload Photos” button.
  2. Next, click “Choose photos.”
  3. Browse your computer until you find a photo and click open.
  4. Choose whether you want the photo to be public or private and click the “Upload Photos” button.
  5. You can click the “Description” button if you would like to add a description, title, or tags.
  6. Your Done! Go have a cookie.
