Progressive talk show host Leslie Marshall recently spoke with United Steelworkers (USW) International President Leo W. Gerard about Republican efforts to rig future Presidential elections by manipulating the electorate.
There have been recent initiatives on the state level to redraw electoral maps and change procedures for allocating electoral votes in future elections.
Gerard talked about the Republican agenda to re-allocate the Electoral College vote and the effect of “citizens united” to rig the vote.
“Many of the things that the right wing extremist and the Republican party are doing now is that they come to the conclusion that they can’t win elections based on their ideas, or their values, or their agenda… they’ve gone and tried to rig the vote,” said Gerard.
