Honeywell Announces Work Stoppage at South Bend Plant

Honeywell locked out union workers at its South Bend, Ind., aircraft parts plant. United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 9 members rejected the company’s offer of drastic increases in health care insurance, and Honeywell retaliated by locking out the workers unexpectedly when they arrived for work at 6 a.m. on May 9.
