Local Union 13-243 Raises Money for Member Battling Lung Cancer

J.R. Fowler, a Steelworker from Local Union 13-243 in Beaumont, Texas, was diagnosed with lung cancer and will be going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments five days a week for the next six weeks. Members of his local union and others in District 13 held a link sale fund raiser for on December 9 and raised almost $7000. Special thanks to the local, Darrell Kyle and Harry Barnes for supporting this effort and donating $2000.00 for links and drinks.
