USW Cares: Local 10-00086 Women of Steel Provide Cool Day for Underprivileged Children

Submitted by Kisha Byrd

10-bowl1Women of Steel members from United Steelworkers Local 10-00086 provided a wonderful day for thirty-two underprivileged children from age 2-14 at the Facenda Whitaker Bowling Alley in East Norriton, Pa.

The members collected donations of toys, clothing and money, shopped for gifts and volunteered to make this day a huge success.

While the children were extremely happy and thankful for a day of bowling, a great lunch and some gifts to take home, the WOS were thankful for all the 10-00086 members who donated and helped out.

This project is just one of so many USW's amazing members do every day to give back to our communities. If you or your local are doing good things in your community, we want to hear about them. Let us know and share video and photos at www.usw.org/uswcares and use the #USWCares hashtag when you post your stories on social media. Don't forget to shout out @Steelworkers!
