Selma Mission Empowered by District 9 Women of Steel

Community involvement takes on many forms. USW Local 1441 Women of Steel took it to the next level by conducting a month long food drive in support of the Edmundite Mission Bosco Center in Selma, Alabama.

This Bosco Center is a humanitarian outreach organization which provides hot meals year round. Local 1441 Women of Steel food drive provided much needed assistance along with offering counsel to several disadvantaged people seeking guidance and a hot meal.

USW District 9 Director Daniel Flippo praised the Committee’s efforts saying, “Local 1441’s exemplary Women of Steel Committee has brought a ray of hope to the community of Selma. Thank you Sisters of Steel for making a difference in someone’s life.”
