Springfield 3M Workers Vote to Join the USW

Nearly 380 workers at 3M’s Springfield, Missouri, facility voted this month to join the USW, marking a major win for the plant’s workforce and a strong addition to the union’s growing chemical sector.

The Springfield facility produces a wide range of adhesives, sealants, and other specialty products that supply key industries, including automotive and aerospace manufacturing. Workers there play a critical role in keeping production lines running across the country, and their vote signals a clear desire for a stronger voice on the job.

With this victory, the Springfield team joins thousands of USW-represented 3M workers nationwide.

“The union has long been a leader in the chemical industry, and the addition of these new members further strengthens the USW’s ability to advocate for safer workplaces, consistent training, improved staffing, and long-term job security across the sector,” said USW International Secretary-Treasurer Myles Sullivan.
