The ‘Most Dangerous Job in the World’

The fight for the Bangladesh workers who break apart huge ships is nothing new to Steelworkers or our friends at the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights. You might recall the horrific report from 2010 authored by the institute’s director Charles Kernaghan, when this video was released. But you must take a few minutes to watch a new, stunning report by an Australian news program and pass it on. Its shows in horrifying detail why these may be the most dangerous jobs in the world.

More than 1.8 million people in Australia watched the documentary on Seven Network’s Sunday Night program.

The Institute for Labour and Human Rights travelled to Bangladesh to collaborate with the Australian TV crew on the making of the documentary. Click here to support the institute’s work on the shipbreaker and other important issues.
