Bobcat has made the unfortunate decision to lay-off thousands of workers for 3 weeks from August 19 through September 8. This layoff will take place at ALL North American Facilitates:
- Johnson Creek, WI
- Statesville, NC
- Litchfield, MN
- Wahpeton, ND
- Gwinner, ND -USW Local 560
- Rogers, MN - USW Local 9011
- Bismarck, ND - USW Local 566
We want to reassure you that, as union members, you have additional resources.
Your union is negotiating with the company how this will be managed. We are actively seeking all relevant financial information to prevent future layoffs and protect your job.
Your union dues are deducted from your payroll and as soon as you stop receiving pay, you will not have any dues deducted.

Filing for Unemployment During Your Period of Layoff
Step 1: Create Your State of ND Login
Go to jobsnd.com and click on the UIICE Logo.
If you do not already have a State of ND Login, create one.

Step 2: Verify Your Identity with ID.me
What You’ll Need:
- Email address.
- Social Security Number
- Photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, or State ID)
- Mobile Phone with Camera
- Laptop or Computer (optional)
- After entering your SSN and Date of Birth, Click the green Verify with ID.me button.
- Once the sunflower page is displayed, click the green Verify with ID.me button

Step 3: File a Claim
You must file a claim the same week you become unemployed. Job Service cannot back date claims.

Helpful Tips for Job Attached Filers
- When filing your claim, be sure to list your last employer as Doosan Bobcat North America Inc.
- The reason you are no longer working: Lack of Work Layoff or Position Eliminated
- If you are returning to your employer after a period of layoff, make sure to answer YES you are returning to the employer who laid you off.
Step 4: Complete Your Weekly Certification
You must certify each week after filing your unemployment claim.

Helpful Tips for Job Attached Filers
- Vacation pay is reported in the week the pay is meant to cover.
- Holiday pay is reported in the week of the Holiday.
- Don’t forget to certify! Job Service cannot go back and certify for you if you forget.
