Blue Bird Workers Win Historic Contract

About 1,500 workers at Blue Bird Corp., a major bus manufacturer in Fort Valley, Ga., ratified their first contract last year after their historic vote to join the USW in 2023. Blue Bird workers make low-emission and zero-emission bus models, and under the Biden administration’s infrastructure law, the company was approved to receive significant federal funding through the Clean School Bus Program.
