Don’t believe Merit’s lies!
In the USW, we have worked for over 80 years to ensure that unorganized workplaces and workers alike have a fair and equal opportunity to have a union to that represents their needs and protects the interest of our community and our families.
Merit telling you that it can’t hire you full time because of the union is simply not true; we pride our work on organizing and fighting for all workers.
The Union wants to ensure that Merit doesn’t change working conditions for our members without bargaining with us first. The company took that as ammunition to make false claims that because of the union, temporary employees could not be hired into full time positions with Merit.
That is not true! Our Union always welcomes new members and will not prevent temporary employees from being hired.
