USW Glass Industry Conference

To All USW Glass Industry Conference Locals,
We invite you to participate in the triennial USW Glass Industry Conference to be held at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh, PA starting at 9:00am on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
With about 25,000 USW members working in a wide variety of glass sectors, in addition to learning and discussing issues that affect us all, we’ll break out by glass sector groups and individual employers for more detailed discussions on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. A reception will be held on Thursday evening. The USW Glass Industry Conference will conclude by Noon on Friday, November 8.
In addition, on Wednesday, November 6:
- the Corning Council meeting will start at 11:00am
- the Mold Makers meeting will start at 4:00pm. After adjourning on Wednesday, the Mold Makers will reconvene for Mold Making Executive Board elections at 1:00pm on Friday.

Registration
Registration may be completed online or by mail and should be completed by October 11, 2024. A registration fee of $150 per person to the USW Glass Industry Conference will be charged to help offset the Union’s costs for the conference.
- For online registration, please visit https://events.usw.org/registration/glass24.aspx. Either pay online with a credit card or e-check, or mail a physical check to the address listed below.
- For mail registration, complete the attached registration form and return it along with a check for the registration fee.
All checks should be made payable to “USW Secretary-Treasurer” and include USW Glass Industry Conference in the memo line. Mail the check (and registration form if not done online) to: USW, c/o Eileen Whitcroft, 60 Blvd of the Allies, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Hotel
A block of rooms at the Sheraton Station Square has been reserved at a rate of $159 per night. The rate for overnight parking is $34 per night. A credit card will be needed to make reservations. The deadline for hotel reservations at the $159 rate is October 7, 2024.

Air Travel
In cooperation with Direct Travel, Inc., we made special arrangements for air transportation to the conference. Reservations can be made by calling (877) 499-1149 and selecting prompt “4” (group meetings). When calling Direct Travel, identify yourself as a participant in the USW Glass Industry Conference. Please call between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, or you will incur an after-hours fee of $16.00.
In accordance with our established policy, the International Union will not be responsible for the cost of member(s) participation. Your Local Union must bear any expenses for attendance, including airfare and hotel fees.
