District 4 Conducts Shop Stewards Training in New Hampshire

On December 4, 2015, seventeen participants attended a District 4 Shop Stewards training in Gorham, NH. Much of the training focused on enforcing the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In most cases, the shop steward is the first line of defense for issues relating to the members.

Shop stewards have the responsibility of interacting with the membership on a daily basis. They are the backbone of the Union. It’s through the steward that the lines of communications flow.
