Lorain’s economy is at risk. Our steel jobs could be lost unless our government enforces trade laws to ensure a level playing field with countries like South Korea.
Because Lorain’s economy is at risk. These steelworkers make pipe and tube products that are used by oil and natural gas industries in places like Ohio’s Utica and Marcellus Shale deposits … but they’re facing illegally priced foreign goods that are flooding the market.
So here’s the question: Will the United States replace its dependence on foreign oil with a reliance on illegally dumped pipe and tube imports? Or will Ohio workers have a fair chance to compete in this growing market?
