Nuclear Times Newsletter

In this issue of Nuclear Times the USW Atomic Energy Workers Council (AEWC) meeting in Hanford, Wash., is featured. While there are still problems in dealing with the contractors and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), progress is being made because of help from two DOE liaisons for labor—Dave Foster and Natasha Campbell. Foster is a former USW district director and executive director of the Blue-Green Alliance. Also featured are short stories about the pitfalls of computer-based health and safety training, the site tour of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, and continued funding for cleanup activities at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
