Solidarity Rally at Crown Holdings Annual Shareholders Meeting

The 120 members of USW Local 9176 in Toronto, Ontario were forced on strike last September after Crown demanded major concessions from employees, including a two-tier wage plan that would permanently cut wages for new hires by up to 42%, despite paying its CEO John Conway up to $14 million in compensation ($7,000 per hour).

Crown is also engaged in a widespread anti-union campaign to undermine labor rights throughout its global operations including firing four labour activists who spent over a year on a union organizing drive at Crown’s operations in Turkey.

Strikers and community supporters from Toronto are traveling to Crown Holding’s corporate headquarters in Philadelphia to confront the company’s CEO and shareholders.
