USW members in Missouri joined hundreds of other labor members in a rally in Jefferson City on April 26th to oppose Right To Work legislation and other anti-labor bills.
Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon drew applause from about a thousand Missouri union members who gathered Wednesday at the state Capitol and listened as he condemned the right-to-work legislation as unnecessary and misguided.
“If they try to go around me and put this to a vote of the people,” said Nixon, “I will stand right beside you and we will fight and win just like we did in 1978.”
