Union Plus Disaster Relief Grant Offers Louisiana Flood Victims Help

Union Plus is offering financial assistance to union members who have been affected by the recent flooding in Southeast Louisiana through its Disaster Relief Grant.

$500 grants are available to members of certain Union Plus programs who have experienced significant loss of income or property and live in one of the following FEMA-designated, flood-afflicted areas: Acadia, Ascension, Avoyelles, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Vermilion, Washington and West Feliciana.

To qualify, a member must be a participant of one of these Union Plus programs for at least 1 year: 

  • Union Plus Credit Card
  • Union Plus Life or Accidental Death Insurance
  • Union Plus Auto Insurance
  • Union Plus Mortgage

Those who have been affected by the flood, but do not participate in a qualifying program can still get help from Federal Disaster Aid programs.

In the past, Union Plus’s Disaster Relief Grant has assisted those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, as well as by wildfires, floods and other natural disasters.
