USW and TWU Sign a Historic Merger Agreement

Yesterday, in Pittsburgh, the United Steelworkers (USW) and the National Executive Council of the Telecommunications Workers Union (TWU) signed a historic merger joining the two unions.

This brings together the 12,000 TWU members and the 225,000 USW members in Canada with an agreement that includes strong, mutual commitments around collective bargaining, education, organizing and legislative action.
