Members of United Steelworker Local 1016 and all employees at NLMK Pennsylvania should be proud of their efforts to give back to their community. Over the past two years, a total of $49,675.50 has been donated to various charities throughout Mercer County as a result of 50/50 raffles held at our work site. Our Lady of Fatima Church ($10,000.00), Joshua’s Have ($3,000.00), Prince of Peace ($3,000.00), and Herald Good News Fund ($3,765.50) were 2013 recipients.
Below are several photos from our “Shop with a Cop” program (Southwest Mercer County Regional Police Department) which received $2,500.00. Shop with a Cop is a one-on-one experience designed to have our local uniformed officers spend a day with underprivileged children while socializing, shopping, and providing guidance during the holiday season. A special thank you to Mr. Terry Day who oversees and manages the raffles that makes this all possible.
Example letters from Shenango Valley Salvation Army, the Herald Good News Fund, St. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church Food Pantry, Our Lady of Fatima/St. Ann Church, Pennsylvania Aware Program, Joshua City Haven Mission and Prince of Peace Center.
