Committee Heads Home to Meet with Members; Bargaining will Continue

Our USW bargaining committee members are returning to their home locals this week to meet with members and discuss the status of our ongoing negotiations with Cliffs Natural Resources.

While we have made progress on some important issues, both in local and in top-table discussions, we still remain far apart on many others.

Still, our team continues to be in contact with each other and with the company, and we look forward to continuing negotiations soon. We remain committed to bargaining for as long as necessary to achieve a fair agreement.

We ask you all to continue to remain focused, stay strong and keep working safely. We will need every member at all of our locals standing together to win our fight for a fair contract. Please keep in touch with your CAT coordinators and local officers for more information about bargaining as well as upcoming meetings and mobilization events.

• USW Local 4974 – Monday, Oct. 12, 4:00 p.m.
• USW Local 4950 – Tuesday, Oct. 13, 5:00 p.m.
• USW Local 2705 – Wednesday, Oct. 14, 7:30 p.m.
• USW Local 6860 – Tuesday, Oct. 20, 4:00 p.m.
