USW Cares: Local 6717 First Involvement in Habitat for Humanity

When Habitat for Humanity decided to build their first habitat home in Weyburn, SK., United Steelworkers Local 6717 decided to get involved. We approached the company, Nexans Canada Inc., and convinced them to match members’ donations. The local also matched the same and managed to donate $9,000 to Weyburn’s first Habitat for Humanity Build.
